AG360, a leading organization of Architecture Ideas Competitions, has revealed the winning projects and honorable mentions of this exciting event. Architects and architecture students from all over the world participated in this International Architecture Competition, which took place from April to July 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The \"Jungle Treehouse\" is presented as a unique and different option for those who want to live in harmony with the natural ecosystem without giving up the comforts of modern life. The competition sought to conceptualize five exclusive lodging units elevated on one or two levels, with the particularity of maintaining a ground floor free for circulation and direct interaction with the existing trees, privileging views of the surroundings.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">First Prize \u201cBamboo Box\u201d in Bern, Switzerland<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>First place was awarded to the \u201cBamboo Box\u201d project from Bern, Switzerland. This project stands out for its avant-garde and rational architecture, which harmoniously integrates with the natural environment. An elevated box, with semi-perforated walls highlighting views in all directions, creates a welcoming feel and showcases wildlife from the treetops. The functionality is based on three main elements: the Platform, the Housing and the Upper Roof.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"Jungle Treehouse\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/694248837?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Honorable mentions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The first honorable mention went to<strong> \u00abCasa Ovalada\u00bb de Shanghai, China.<\/strong> Este dise\u00f1o se inspira en el fruto de la palma y consta de dos habitaciones ovaladas de diferentes tama\u00f1os que atraen la vida silvestre y las plantas, sumergiendo a los hu\u00e9spedes en la belleza de los bosques y oc\u00e9anos naturales. La arquitectura de la casa del \u00e1rbol se integra perfectamente con el entorno, utilizando una combinaci\u00f3n de madera y acero para crear una atm\u00f3sfera \u00fanica.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Second honorable mention was awarded to \u201cEl Cangrejo\u201d from C\u00f3rdoba, Argentina.<\/strong> This project is inspired by the figure of the crab and seeks to achieve a natural coexistence with the palm trees. The design embraces the palm trees, creating an organic element that causes minimal visual and environmental impact. The unit is designed as a bridge between two palm trees, with services housed in the center and a clear division between public and private space. This project is located in an area surrounded by coconut trees and is inspired by them to create a place of rest. The distribution of the spaces is organized radially, with a bedroom on the axial axis and a bathroom and kitchenette area attached to both sides. From the bedroom there is access to a sun terrace, which offers panoramic views of the natural landscape of Johnny Cay Island.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the fourth honorable mention went to \u201cCamping Palmeras y Brisa\u201d from Bogot\u00e1, Colombia. This project is conceived as a space for rest, tranquility and sharing in harmony with nature. Pathways, elevated rooms, open spaces and flexible furniture combine to provide guests with comfort without sacrificing adventure. The vertical structures merge with the surroundings, highlighting the importance of palm trees, sea and sand in Johnny Cay's landscape.<\/p>\n<p>The winners and honorable mentions of the \u201cJungle Treehouse\u201d contest will be displayed on the AG360 website (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.concursosag360.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.concursosag360.com<\/a>) and in various important architectural sites worldwide.
